極楽寺~仁科五郎盛信の娘の眠る寺
東京都八王子市内にある極楽寺です。
境内には戦国時代の甲斐の武田家滅亡時、武田信玄の娘松姫(織田信長嫡男織田信忠の許嫁でしたが織田・武田の手切れにより婚約解消。墓は同市内の信松院)と共にこの地に逃れてきた小督姫(玉殿院)の墓があります。
父親の仁科五郎盛信は信濃の国に侵攻してきた織田信忠の大軍と高遠城で戦い討ち死に・・・さらに武田勝頼も田野で自害
小督は僅かに3歳でした。
また、八王子の町を開いた後北条旧臣長田作左衛門の墓や塩野適斎の墓もあります。
甲州街道と陣馬街道の追分のそばには、幕末明治期に栃木県日光を戦火から救った石坂弥次右衛門義礼(よしかた)の墓のある興岳寺があります。
日光勤番最後の責任者で官軍に日光東照宮を明け渡した後、自刃しました。
また萌え寺として知られる「了法寺」もありました。

Gokuraku-ji Temple is located in Hachioji City, Tokyo.
In the precincts of the temple, there is the tomb of Princess Matsu, daughter of Takeda Shingen, who was married to Oda Nobutada, the eldest son of Oda Nobunaga, when the Takeda family of Kai was destroyed in the Warring States Period. Her grave is in Tamadono-in Temple), who fled to this area together with Princess Shogohime (whose grave is in Shinsho-in Temple in the same city).
Her father, Morinobu Nishina Gorou, was killed in battle at Takato Castle against a large army of Oda Nobutada who had invaded the Shinano region.
Shogun Shogun was only three years old.
There is also the grave of Nagata Sakuzaemon, a former vassal of Go-Hojo who founded the town of Hachioji, and the grave of Shiono Taisai.
Near the junction of Koshu Kaido and Jinma Kaido, there is Kogakuji Temple with the grave of Yoshikata Ishizaka Yajiemon, who saved Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, from war in the late Edo and Meiji periods.
He was the last person in charge of Nikko Kinban and committed suicide after surrendering Nikko Toshogu Shrine to the government forces.
There is also Ryōhō-ji Temple, known as Moe Temple.
